About
I have always loved the idea of a bed & breakfast. So when we bought this house and it had this big beautiful 2 story barn on it we got the wonderful idea of converting it to a rustic but homey bed & breakfast. It has turned out so much better than either of us could have imagined.
We are still coming up with new ideas and tweaking some of the original plans and will probably continue to do so. Right now we are just using the first floor of the barn but who knows what we might come up with for the upstairs in the future.

The barn has 2 overhead garage doors with one at the front and one at the rear. We wanted to get as much air flowing thru the barn as possible since there isn't any central air. We came up with a screened wall with a screened door in the center. We leave the overhead doors up and there you go, instant air conditioning. I added some curtains I made using painters drop cloths that I dressed up with some fringe at the bottom and some decorative trim on the sides. If the weather turns cooler we can either just close the curtains or the doors and then it stays nice and cozy.
